Dr. Scott S. Kim is a first-generation dentist who was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. He moved to Orange County, California in 2006 for his undergraduate studies. Dr. Scott S. Kim earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Kim began his residency training at Woodhull Hospital, where he was exposed to and sharpened all aspects of dentistry including oral surgery, bone grafting, implantology, endodontics, medicine, and trauma. After one year of residency, Dr. Kim completed a second year of advanced training at Woodhull Hospital, serving as the chief resident. There, he expanded his knowledge in full mouth rehabilitation, advanced periodontal surgery, and complex implant surgery. He also supervised and trained junior residents in various surgical procedures. Dr. Kim worked closely with various dental specialists during his residency training, allowing him to provide high-quality treatments in all aspects of dentistry.
Dr. Kim is committed to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry by continuously updating his knowledge through current literature and advanced continuing education. He successfully completed the GIA Implant liver Surgery course, gaining extensive expertise in dental implants, bone grafting, and soft tissue surgery. Dedicated to delivering the highest standard of patient care, Dr. Kim has also been an active attendee of the K-Dental Conference since 2022, ensuring his practice incorporates the latest trends and advancements in the field. Dr. Kim also participates in dental outreach. He visited Mexico, Oaxaca to preach gospel and provide dental care for those people who are in need.
He enjoys meeting people and loves working out. He was in a vocal ensemble for three years in high school. Although Dr. Kim does not sing on stage anymore, he loves going to karaoke.
